Making A Simple Smartphone Wooden Support - A Woodworking Project

Today almost all of us have one of those smart phones: a smartphone. It is a small computer that can take anywhere and with which we can perform many tasks. and thus today we are going to make such an innovative woodworking project related to smartphones.

And I have wanted to make a wood stand for my smartphone, on the one hand, to see if I have a new message, call, whatsapp ... and secondly, to always place it in the same place and not lose sight.

After some thought, I opted for making a wood stand for the smartphone to make it simple, fast and inexpensive, and in my point of view, I succeeded. To do such woodworking projects I pushed recycling wood, I used wooden pallets, so that the cost of doing so is minimal. And the woodworking plan is simple but effective and practical, or so it seems to me to me.

1. We begin in this woodworking project by taking measures for our smartphone to adapt themselves to the support. In my case, my smartphone is 4.5 inches and has some measures 6.7 inches wide, 13.3 inches long and 0.8 inches deep.

2. I've used is wood pallet in this woodworking plan, although you can use wood that you like or you have available for other projects ... I've sanding, cutting and brushing until it is 7 inches wide. Then we made the marks for cutting.

3. It will be a simple support, which with 2 pieces of wood have more than enough to do it. The longer piece that will stand back, which support the smartphone, has a measure of 12.5 cm. While the base, has a length of 5 cm. To cut wood can use a jig, saw, cutting table in this woodworking project.

4. Now we make a cut with inclination to the wood where the rest smartphone. Tilt I have given was 73 degrees. To make the mark of the inclination we can use a protractor, as we had been to school. And to make the cut with inclination, we can use a saw, cutting table, miter.

5. sanded wood, for this we must use a power sander or hand sanding. The type of sand to be used will be a fine grit sandpaper.

6. Next, we will use a sergeant to hold the pieces together. 2 brands perform in the housing base and drilled with countersink bit to subsequently secure with screws.

We insert the drill with the same inclination as the rear wooden support, and insert the bit you need to make way to the screw. As for the distance from the base where support the smartphone, it will be more than 1 cm.

7. Thus as simple, fast and easy, we will have made a stand for the smartphone.

8. Now play the decorative part, we begin to apply sealer. In my case, I used the water sealer. We hope the time indicated by the manufacturer for optimal drying. Then sand it with fine grit sandpaper.

9. Before applying the varnish, stain ... well all the wood clean with a damp cloth or brush. Finally, we apply the finish that we like.
