Transgender - Transgender individuals do not feel comfortable in the sexual identity of their physical body. Some people that are physically male identify more with the gender roles of females and vice versa. This conflict can create mental and social problems for the individual. Many that are confronted with this issue choose to change their physical appearance in order to feel more comfortable in their body.
Sex-reassignment surgery- (also known as
gender-reassignment surgery) There are many processes with which to change
one’s body from one sex to the other. With surgery, any sex identifying
body parts can be removed and replaced with those indicative of the opposite
sex. This is usually accompanied by hormone therapy in order to promote the
growth and health of any new parts.
