W eb Analytics is the process of collecting data from website visitors with the intention of improving the web browsing experience by tailoring the website to the visitor's needs and interests. Historically, this has been accomplished using only information from a visit to the website; recently, however, there is movement towards off-site analysis from information potentially including visibility, buzz, and opportunity. There are more than a hundred of web analytics tools available through internet. The main tools include Google Analytics, Woopra and Piwik. They are free analytic tools and have been widely used by individual site owners, online stores, and small enterprises. Also, there are paid analytic services, such as Omniture, Mint, and Onesat. The paid services offer more customized functions and web support.  |
