Happy Valentine's Day and welcome to my first blog. Not really sure what I'm doing but I guess I would like to write about my life or maybe just on what I think of something. Mainly right now I think I want to write about the new baby I'm due to have any day now.
My name is Rebecca and I'm already a mother of a 2 year old named Shelby and cannot wait until baby Lucas gets here. If I don't go before Monday then my doctor is planning on inducing me. And Shelby is going to be such a great big sister. She's only 2 and it's going t be expected of a little jealoucy and a little acting up. But we're going to make sure that we spend enough time with Shelby and not to make her feel left out.
My mom has been great. The past two weeks she has been staying here on the days when Eric has to work the midnihgt shift at work. Even though it will only take 10 minutes for him to get here, it's still best to have someone with me in case I should go into labor. And she's been helping me out with everything around here when it gets too much for me to stand or lean over. My stomach is so huge this time around. Every time I look in the mirror I look like I have a huge bowling ball as a stomach.
And my dad is predicting that that I will have the baby today but I don't think that is going to happen. I mean, it's after 5 PM and I'm re-editing this post and still nothing. Sorry dad, can't have both your grandson's birthdays together. But I really do believe that Monday will be the day.
And with it being Valentines day, Eric is taking me out to dinner while my mom is babysitting Shelby. It'll be nice getting out especially since I don't think Eric and I have done anything on just the two of us since maybe this past summer. So tonight Eric and I will have a nice little date and it'll probably be our last little bit of free time before the baby.
