For Mongon the real story starts back in 1992 in High School. He was one who played football from pop warner to high school, studied art and hung out with the smokers and potheads.
He learned a couple of chords and tried out for a band in Syracuse New York known as the Red Angels. He joined and they did well. It got to the point at a battle of the bands that they won a contract. However, as fast as good things can happen is the same speed that bad can.
The night the band went out for celebrations at the Rat and Raven Tavern Calvin got incredible drunk illegally and went out with friends to go home only to get hit by a car. The driver was in fact a mentally handicapped old lady who had escaped and stole a car from Lorretto Nursing homes.
Calvin survived but was handicapped from the waist down. He could still sing and play but noone including the record company wanted to see a cripple up on stage in a wheel chair. Also to add to it was the fact that he got drunk illegally. He was taken from his home and later found out he was adopted by his family.
This all confused him greatly. In the detention center Calvin focused on a game both he and his father couldnt beat called Metroid. One of the inmates tried helping him and even the guards got involved. One day a kid named Fitzy Jenner told him of a code he once heard but never tried. It was a password that was JUSTIN BAILEY ------ ------.
Later that night Calvin tried it only to be sucked into the internetal plains.... or computer universe. He was in a battle zone and seen a beautiful redhead flying to the ground....well better yet falling. He ran and caught her by instinct like she was a football and used his old skills to carry her off to safety.
It was then that an man who looked very familiar jumped in and took them to his secret hideout. It was there that Calvin learned he was on the internetal plains. He also learned that the man who had saved him, the lady he saved and others were all users [humans] that were taken by the master control known as SKULL because they were deeemed too dangerous.
You see, SKULL was a AI program from another time that found ways to bend time as well as space and wanted to take over the living world. Master-Gon who's real name was John Lennon was finding out about conspiracys that surrounded Nixon and somehow found a connection between watergate and a rogue master computer years after Nixon left the office like a puppet. Was Nixon a puppet noone will ever know but what is known is the computer covered it up with a fake humanoid John who was set up to be shot in NYC. Ever since then he has fought in the system for his and the freedom for the system.
Justine Bailey was a young wiz kid tester for nintendo when she was sucked into the system. In an attempt to get help from the outside world while being sucked in she embedded the password JUSTIN BAILEY ------ ------ .
Calvin studied under Master-Gon and Justine in how to fight using HTML codes as well as the arts of JAVA and FLASH. The 3 started a revolution that went on for 3 years in which they found a way to free the system. He took the name Mon-Gon68 which stood for son of Gon.
Despite his happiness there was sorrow as he missed his adopted Mom, dad and friends. Master-Gon made him a key that would enable him to travel to the real world and back as he felt set. Technically Master-Gon was using him as a guinea pig to see the effects of the key and if it would work. If it did he would have a way to make a connection with his wife Yoko.
In the real world it was tough although he could walk his skin was light blue, his hair was dark blue and eyes were lit up yellow in a pupiless manner. It was then that his adopted father revealed to his son that he too was a mutant and sent him on a trip to his old alma mater..... Professor Xavier's School for gifted youngsters down in southern NY state.
Mongon fit in fast with the others he met as he used his key like abilities for all sorts of cool things but one of the most memorable momments was when Bobby Drake took Mongon and Jubilee along with him to introduce them to one of his friends, Johnny Storm the human torch at Freedom Four Plaza.
Johnny and Ben Grimm had been playing the new Mortal Kombat game on Sega Genesis and loosing at that. Poor Ben was at a dissadvantage as his fingers were way too big for the especially big controller that was made for him by Reed. As Johnny Storm kept taunting Ben Mongon shook his head as he held Jubilee's hand and winked then whispered something as suddenly Ben's character seemed to be almost indestructable and with one punch he was making the human torch look like a small flickering flame.
The confused torch left and said "It didnt count I let you win for once". Ben and Mongon talked as he revealed his mutant abilities. The two became good friends as they were both ex football players and all. Some of Ben's grumpiness rubbed off on him and found ways of dealling with Logan.
Everything seemed happy until Mongon was loosing control over his powers it seemed and a very concerned Xavier sent him to Muir Island to meet with Dr. Moira Mactaggert but instead when his plain landed one of the other founders of Excalibur was there to greet him instead.
Mongon was greeted by Merlin the magician as he had a sad, yet happy confused look on his face and hugged the young man. It was then and there that the magician explained the situation as he knew why the key powers might be having trouble. He also told him a story that involved him that he had never known.
It was during the years of Camelot. Merlin was the royal advisor to King Arthur and so forth. From different Kingdoms such as Spain and France and other parts as well magic users were hunted by those who hated and feared them. These magic fearing hunters were known as Muggles.
That day a group of some of the top muggles tracked a young succubi queen known as Morrigan Aensland all the way from Scotlands to his cottage. She ran inside his cottage and was scared for her life as she was weak. Merlin quickly hid her and when the muggles came they knew not to harm Merlin in any way or face the wrath of Camelot.
They swore vengence on Merlin and went their wretched way. Merlin quickly found her and carried her to the bed as he tried every healing spell possible to save her but nothing would work. He could see the light fading from her eyes and lovingly kissed her forehead while crying. Sparks came from her body as she reached up with what little strength she had and kissed him on the lips.
The kiss developed as did a symbiotic yet loving relationship as he needed compaionship and she needed..... energy. This were wonderful as Camelot flourished and the two gave birth to a child in which they named "Mongon". The 3 lived happily in his hut until Camelot began to age and fail. Under no king's protection the muggles came back in hundreds for Merlin, his demoness's wife and their 'evil' spawn. Merlin in a last minute attempt to save their son sent him into the future using a spell called timehopper. The sad thing about the Timehopper spell is it can only be used to go forward and cannot be used in reverse.
It was all fate that Mongon found the internetal plain, was giving the name Mon-Gon68, found his way to Xaviers and then here. In Great Britian for a few years Mongon studied in a different school called StoneHedge school for witchcraft and wizardry. After a couple years of some intense training he returned to Xavier's school to see a much more grown Jubilee who had missed him and stayed in contact with him via owl letters as there was no such thing as cellphones or computers in StoneHedge.
However, as the winds of winter picked up that winter of 99 so wasn't fate as the clock struck midnight Jan 1 2000. Mongon was being kissed by Jubilee as a porthole opened from another dimension and sucked him out of her touch as he woke up in somewhere else. With tears in his eyes he fought and swore in an world of prehistoric life to try and get back.
His powers would activate and trigger portholes in time of intense stress and be sucked into a new time or place. After a year or two he could really relate to the poor guy from Quantum Leap. Then again Dr. Sam Beckett had Sam the illusion to keep him sane.
Mongon found ways to make a small house for his things in a cellphone he designed for interdimensional travel that was powered by electrical elements. This way he could save all his memories, pictures, music and have a place to live while finding a cure to his porthole problem.
In his travels he witnessed brave acts of courage like Gambit sacrficing his life to save the team and Rogue staying behind with him. Gambit gave his Jacket to Mongon and told him to lead that team out of sinking submarine vessel.
One dimension Mongon ended up was a dark future raged by Apocalypse. Mongon was reunited by the original Jubilee he had lost and very soon the two were married. He fought beside her in the wars and adopted a son whom he saved from a dying scotsmen. They named the baby Angus after Angus Young from AC/DC.
The war went from Angus was a babe till he was 15 and Mongon still never aged past 18 which was a issue as his wife was in her 40's or early 50's. However, as peace had come Mongon found himself abducted on one of his long walks that would last weeks in the wilderness alone to meditate.
Mongon was reconfigured in a way that Mr. Sinister could control his every movement and make the person inside witness every momment of it. Poor Mongon was mind controlled by Apocalypse to return to the camp where the heroes lived and murdered every single one of them while they were sleeping. A valiant woman Jubilee tried to stop him and then realised by his red eyes he was being controlled from the inside. Angus attempted to fight him off but was pushed hard off a cliff.
As Mongon stabbed Jubilee he cried and then realised that he now had control... she found a way to bring him back with her death. She told him she still loved him, forgave him and one more thing.... give them hell.
Mongon returned back but did not realise that Angus was alive as he hadnt died but found a way to watch. He knew his father was being mind controlled and went after him. Little did Mongon know that although they hadnt a clue that he was out of the trance they did manage to abduct his son when he followed him into the cave.
As Mr. Sinister worked on Mongon and had his back turned he used Sinisters own tools against him and watched him die a confused death.. "that ones for Angus" he would say to himself But in fact Angus was alive and in the arms of apocalypse grip.
It was then that Apocalypse revealed he needed the boys lifeforce to leave this dreadfull place and somewhere else where he could become a god. He also revealed he was not Apocalypse but a mutant named Trevor Fitzroy. As he took a lifeforce in that room and ran through the porthole Mongon followed closely looking to kill him to avenge Jubilee's honor.
Still Angus was not dead. The lifeforce used to open the porthole was Sinister's. Angus found a way to follow. Mongon still had no real control over his abilitys but he would meet Fitzroy and it would be like cats and dogs with chainsaws, machettes and lightsabers!
Mongon founded the Trenchcoat Brigade as a way to help the dimensions he came across and find ways back, but it never lasted. Still looking 18 he wished he could find his way back home to 1999 but when meeting his father he found there was no spell that could reverse time. He could travel to distant places that maybe were a few years ahead or behind or vice verse but he couldnt go back to that momment.
Ironically he met up with some travellers from ancient eygpt who were very intelligent but unarmed and a familar face was threatening them with weapons of mass destruction in the deserts of Cairo Egypt. The fiend was Fitzroy. Without remorse he attacked the man not thinking at one momment he would be killed by him. Mongon fought Fitzroy with hand to hand skills as the Egyptians all watched. When it came to the winner Mongon had knocked him unconsious but didnt kill him.
He knew quite well that in the middle east their punishments were worse then death as would be Trevor Fitzroys. The Ancients were all grateful for Mongon's actions and heard his tail of woe. Using a Stargate the Ancients were able to cure him of the problems between his magic and the key in his body using two tattoos and the power or the pyramids.
They asked where he would like to be and of course his only answer was "Back with the Xmen." That was where they would send Mongon as he never said when or where as he woke up in the school as he was on the good ol sofa he liked sleeping on. He woke up and went to the windows only to see a desert like area and looked around. He looked back outside and mocking one of his friends lines he said "GREAT ..SCOTT" and passed out on the floor.
Upon coming to the school he met new friends and allies as well as discovered his son was alive and a pirate at that. Mongon succubi charm was felt by two school girls and the school nurse. Mongon went on a mission to help save Logan's daughter. Going through the computer system he disconnected their security systems. But in all honesty he could see where Marissa and Miyuki were through the computer camera's as he was inside the system. However, being inside the computer has it's dissabilities. He watched the two die and was helpless to save them!!!
This... was the second time in his life this has happend to him. The first time was at his own hands. He vowed no more. He travelled far, far away into the systems. He originally decided on retiring on the internetal plains. However, where ever he went trouble followed and it was almost like the place of peace had no peace. He would stand up for the little guy once again but there was a huge fork in the road. Be a hero or walk away with no more regrets of loosing someone.
Choosing the path of a civilian program he lived on the internetal plain as a user in disguise. However, it wasn't too long that he learned that even in places of peace a hero can be needed and rather then stand aside he came back to the rescue. He couldn't ignore his duty to his fellow programs. Mongon realised it was time to go back to the real world. However, what he didnt know would be that he would be faced with a new mutation....
