WHAT IT IS:
Utterly random data. Contributors get to write about anything they like, as long as the article is under 500 words long, factual, objective, well-written and not plagiarized.
WHAT YOU DO:
Write. Send a brief, concise, well-written article about whatever turns you on. Consult the submission guidelines for more information. You can write about anything from oatmeal to a medieval Pope, as long as it's legitimate data. Write it like an encyclopedia entry. This site will eventually contain a completely bizarre, random pile of data. You can write about chimpanzees, toasters, cathedrals, girdles, Dachshunds, gemstones, medical conditions, whatever floats your boat, the more obscure, the better.
WHAT YOU CAN'T DO:
Be a jackass or defame people. In fact, don't write about living people at all. If you write about a deceased historical figure, that's acceptable, but don't drag anyone's name through the mud (even if the person in question is generally regarded as a complete fiend). We're seeking objective articles about random items, written in a factual and informative manner. Don't try to be a comedian. Most things in life are sufficiently funny enough in their own right that they require no additional commentary.
WHAT WE DO:
Edit your data (and it WILL be proofread and edited). If we like it, it goes on the site.
