Al Fatihah

Surah Al Fatihah is the opening of the holy book, the great Quran. It consists of seven verses. This surah has many other names. It was revealed in Makkah and also said that it was revealed on two different occasions.There are so many virtues of reciting this surah. It is obligatory to recite this surah in every ra,akah of salah.

Quran is the complete code of ethics for the people till the Day of judgment. Followers get guidance to lead the life. Surah Al Fatihah is the opening chapter of Quran. This surah is the introduction of whole Quran. It starts with the praise and glory of our Lord. The Lord who is the most beneficent and merciful towards His creatures.

Surah Al Fatihah is named Al-Fatihah, the Opening because it opens the Book and its recitation is obligatory in the prayers. It is the most important surah of the Quran. It opens the Quran and briefly introduces the total Quranic text. This surah is also a dua .in everyday prayers we recite surah Fatiha to seek guidance and pay our humble thanks to our Lord.The Messenger of Allah said, "[The chapter commencing with] 'All praises and thanks are due to Allah the Lord of the Universe' is the Mother of the Qur'an, the Mother of the Book, the Seven Oft Repeated Verses and the Great Qur'an." (i.e. Umm al-Qur'an, Umm al-Kitab, Sab'ul-Mathani and Al-Qur'an and that is the Surah Al Fatihah.Surah Al Fatihah  is also named umm ul Quran because it was the first chapter written in the Quranic text and also said that it is named so because the whole Quran is summarized in the surah Fatiha. Arabs name,, umm,,to something that is most important part of something or  anything that concisely summarizes the text.

Every Muslim recite Surat Al Fatihah in every part of the prayer.It reminds us who are we and Who our Lord is and How we should obey our Allah. The Rabb ul Almeen is our Allah who is the sustainer, the creator and most kind to all the creatures. We should seek guidance so that we may walk on the right path which can lead us to the Jannah.All praises are due to Allah who is the Lord of the universe, most beneficent and most Merciful, is the starting of Surat Al Fatihah and also the starting of the Quran. Allah is the only rabbi and Lord and ultimate reason for the whole universe. We must praise and pay homage to Allah.He is so kind to us and so merciful to every soul in the universe.Surat Al Fatihah  is also named Al-Hamd, the Praise because it contains mention of hamd just as Al-Baqarah is named so because it contains mention of the cow. It constitutes praise to Allah. It teaches how to praise Allah the Great .Allah is the Lord, the Master, The Rahman and the Raheem. we should call our Allah by His great names. Surat Al Fatihah is named the Prayer because its recitation is a condition for the validity of the prayer. In the Five time prayers and every prayer it is obligatory to recite this surah. Every day ,in every prayer and in every part of the prayer we recite surah Fatiha. we recite the surah Fatiha to praise our Lord ,to seek Guidance and ask for the ways towards success.The underlying theme of Surat Al Fatihah is one of the contemplation and pay tributes to the Allah the Rabb ul aalmeen.He is the one and only Who deserves all the praises and thanks .All the good names and qualities belongs to Him. He deserves every good word and every kind of worship .No one else deserve it.

Al Fatihah All praise due to Allah who created this universe and all the contents therein. He is the Master of the universe and controlling all the things in smooth and regular ways. The sun always rises and set on time .How is it possible? Definatley there is someone who is controlling it. Some people truly believe that Allah Almighty created the world and that is it. Allah create and controlling everything.Most beneficent and Merciful Allah is our Lord. He always forgives us .we commit sins and He forgives. Al Fatihah contains praise and glory to our Lord. Allah is the entire merciful and kind to all the species and creatures in the universe. He love and care His creatures. Allah has order the humans to worship Him and none other.Surah Al Fatihah is also named Sab'ul-Mathani, the Seven Oft Repeated Verses, because they are frequently recited and indeed recited in every rak'ah of the prayer. Every muslim recite the surah Fatiha daily in every salah. so this is the most frequently recited surah. It contains many blessings and cures. So it is also named as Shifaa because it is cure for many problems and troubles.The Virtues of Surah Al Fatihah are so many. Allah says that I have divided the prayer equally in between Myself and my servant. When a servant recites the first verse of this surah, All the praises and thanks are due to Allah who is the Lord of the universe, Allah says My servant has praised Me .This is the blessing of the surah.

Surah Al Fatihah contains so many virtues and blessings. When a servant praise Allah and ask for guidance, Allah says , y servant will definitely have what he asked for. A believer seeks for the t path of the pious people and take refuge with Allah from the people who have gone astray, Allah will surely fulfill the request of the servant and show him the right path.

In Surah Fatiha by saying alhamdulillah, the servant is praising and thanking Allah Alone due to His greatness, unity, perfection, His Beautiful Names and Attributes and His innumerable favors and blessings that none can encompass. It is indeed an amazing statement that encompasses something that volumes would be unable to express.All praises and thanks due to Allah the Rabb ul Almeen. The Lord of the universe is the One Who sustains and nourishes all creatures according to their needs and taste. Surah Fatiha is the praise towards Allah,s Glory and Magnitude. Allah the Rabb ul Almeen keeps on granting all types of favors and blessings to all mankind. Allah Alone is the Creator and that all the affairs are under His disposition, just as are all blessings. He is completely Self-Sufficient, and the creation is in total need of Him Alone for everything... Surah Fatiha explores the oneness of Allah. He alone is the Master and Lord.No one else is able to carry these qualities. We worship alone Allah and ask for favors.  Surah Fatiha contains many beautiful names of Allah. The Rahman and The Raheem. Allah is so kind and Merciful to all human beings and also to all the creations. When we commit sins but get ashamed of our actions, Allah the Merciful don’t punish the believers. He blesses them His favors. Allah is the Most Beneficent and showers His blessings every time. n the very beginning of the Holy Quran, in Surah Fatiha, Allah mentions the Day of judgment. Allah alone is the Master of the Day of the judgment. No one else has the power to interrupt Him. He alone will decide what we have done and what is reward or punishment for the actions. Everyone will be given the account of his or her actions, and the son will be done by Allah.
