   Hello, ladies !

This is actually a little off-work project of mine. I decided to share a few tips on dressing up for that special night we’re all been waiting for.

I actually got this job over two years ago and ever since then I became more and more interested in footwear. I love shoes. I’m a shoe-o-maniac and everyone knows it, so my job fits like a glove, or better yet, a shoe.

I write product reviews, give feedback on my readers outfits, but I also write reviews of presentations and stores all across town. Did I mention? I’m currently living in good old New York.

I’m growing a bit tired of it, to be honest, and sometimes I fantasize about moving to a fancy European city. Shushh!

Until then, I’m walking down the streets of New York, looking for clever outfits and scoring them. I also take pictures, so all of you can see the dos and don’ts of fashion.

Apart from that, I’m also a bit of a sketching maniac. Can you guess what I usually sketch? Yep, shoes. It’s all shoes. All of my thoughts and ideas go out on paper and I love the results.

One day I hope I will see my petty sketches become reality but until then, I guess I’ll just have to wait a bit more.

    Issues arise!

Lately I’ve been having some problems with my laptop. It’s darn heavy! Apart from that it also started to die on me, especially when I needed it the most.

My job requires that I write continuously, relentlessly about the object of our desires, shoes (again!). I can’t do it with a faulty laptop, can I? I also took it to a professional to have it fixed but repairing the darn thing would cost me much too much.

In fact, I think I could buy a brand new one with the money they were charging me for repairs.

So, since the video card is gone and old Morty (that’s how I named my laptop) is a goner, I started looking for some replacements.

I also visited a hardware store on my way from work and I was actually amazed at the variety of products they had on display.

Laptops, net books, tablets, and all sorts of goodies! I even saw some cool graphic tablets, which I could use for my little shoe design thingy. I won’t really buy one just now, but I quite liked them and they’re definitely on the agenda for Christmas.

I actually liked a few mini laptops but I also saw some beautiful, full sized laptops which caught my attention. The price tag of these machines is, sadly, a tad high for little ol’ me.

I might have to borrow some money or sell my old machine to replenish my budget.

I’ll keep you guys up to speed on whatever’s happening!

   I LOVE Tablets!

Hello guys! I’m back with more info on my little hardware issue! As it turns out, I’m a big fan of tablets.

My friend Misty has one and I tried it out as well, fell in love with it straight away, really.

Being the hard working girl that I am, I rushed home and started doing some research on tablets. That’s how I found the IdeaTab S2109 from Lenovo.

It runs on an AMR Cortex A9 processor with a speed of 1000 MHz. It features a 9.7 inch display screen with a native resolution of 1024 x 768. It also features 1024 MB of RAM and 8 GB of Flash memory. The best thing about this tablet is the fact that it runs on the Android 4.0 operating system.

It also boasts a wireless 802.11 b/g/n, a Micro HDMI chip, a Micro SDHC slot and a Micro USB jack. Weighing in at just 20.5 oz., it’s perfect for me!

The only problem I have with it is the fact that it doesn’t have a keyboard and since I have to write TONS on a daily basis, I need something that can handle it all.

The Coby Kyros features a 9.7 inch LED backlit LCD display screen with a native resolution of 1024 x 768. It runs on an ARM Cortex A8 processor with a speed of 1000 MHz. It also features 1024 MB of RAM and 8 GB of Flash memory.

I really liked the Mini HDMI and the Micro SDHC slots on this tablet. Design wise, it’s just brilliant and weighing in at just 19.8 oz. It’s actually a pretty good device but it has the same old problem most tablets have – it lacks a keyboard!

I guess I’ll have to keep on looking, these two little guys won’t make the cut. Sorry!

    Must...do...more...re-research!

The hunt goes on as I still need a new laptop/netbook to work on. Luckily enough, a very good friend of mine was kind enough to borrow me a net book she had laying around. This made me thing...why not buy a net book? It’s the obvious choice!

So, I started googleing like a mad woman, all over the internet and came up with a few contenders.

The first one is the Samsung NC10, which features a 10.2 inch display screen with a native resolution of 1024 x 600.

It runs on an Intel Atom processor with a speed of 1600 Mhz. It also boasts 1024 MB of RAM memory and 160 GB of storage space. It’s quite heavier than tablets, weighing in at 46 oz.

This net books also features 3 UBS 2.0, headphone jacks, a VGA port and a multi format card reader.

The Lenovo Idea Pad S110 features a 10.1 inch LED Backlit LCD display screen with a native resolution of 1280 x 720.

It runs on an Intel Atom N2600 processor with a speed of 1600 Mhz.

It also boasts 1024 MB of RAM, an USB 2.0 port, an USB 3.0 port, a VGA jack, a mobile sim card slot, a multi format card reader, Ethernet and headphone jacks and a wireless 802.11 b/g/n chip.

The Lenovo Idea Pad S110 comes with a price tag of just $300, which actually fits my budget, but I’m not truly satisfied with it.

I really liked the design of this net book but that’s about it, I guess I’ll have to keep on looking for a better contender.

    Finally made up my mind!

Hello, shoe enthusiasts ! The past few weeks have been a real drag. I’ve actually made up my mind and decided to invest some money in buying an ultra book.

Since my budget is quite small these days, I also needed to take out a small loan from my “trusty” little bank. Ugh!

No biggie, but all that paperwork and running around really discouraged me a little bit. I hope the new laptop will be worth it. Of course, I’ll be using it on a daily basis for work and play but hey, I never needed to take out a loan to buy...well, anything, so far.

If you’re curious about who is the lucky winner, then you’re in luck! Today I’ll write a small review on my “new guy”. By the way, I decided to call him Lewis. Lewis from Lenovo!

You guessed it, I’m talking about the Lenovo IdeaPad U410. This is an ultra book weighing in at just 63.5 oz.! It runs on an Intel Core i3 3127U Ivy Bridge processor with a speed of 1.8 GHz. It features a brilliant 14 inch LED Backlit LCD display screen with a native resolution of 1366 x 768.

The 1366 x 768 resolution is really getting old, but considering the weight and the fact that I have a decent screen size, we can get over it pretty fast. I have to admit that the ultra slim build and the stylish design really won me over.

Apart from that, it also boasts an Nvidia GeForce 610M graphics card and 4096 MB of RAM. The hard drive has plenty of storage space, 750 GB to be exact, which should be more than I will ever need. Apart from that, I also liked the fact that this ultra book has two USB 3.0 ports and two USB 2.0 ports.

It also features a SDHC card slot, a HDMI, an Ethernet 10/100 jack and a headset jack.

Other than that, there’s the trusty 802.11 b/g/n wireless chip, a built in microphone, a 1.0 Mp webcam and other assorted goodies.

I really liked the fact that I can also get an SSD storage drive on this ultra book, but haven’t made up my mind yet. I’m inclined to get the 750 GB one, but I could also go for Hybrid Storage.

I still have a few days to make up my mind, and then I’ll order this baby.

I’ll make a thorough review once I get it up and running so expect a new post soon!
