The Town of Pompeii
Because of Mount Versuvius eruption in AD 79, the towns Pompeii and
Herculaneum were buried under feet of volcanic debris which in fact
perserved many buildings and items in each town, as well as outlines of
humans and animals. This website explores a description of what Pliny
the Elder did during the eruption and the layout of a typical Pompeian
house.
