Southeast Louisa County United Methodist Parish is made up of three churches.

"Southeast Louisa County United Methodist Parish came together nearly ten years ago to worship Jesus Christ and to witness to God's love for this beautiful corner of Iowa. We are of the Methodist tradition which means that we are called to two tasks: making disciples of Jesus Christ and making the world a better place in which to live. Our primary way of understanding those tasks is through studying the Bible.

Centenary of Morning Sun, Oakville and Wapello United Methodist Churches have different approaches to the second part so we offer a lot of variety. You will see our members active in each community because we believe our faith goes with us, beyond church walls into a world that is often sad and hurting, and Christ teaches us to be a nurturing, caring presence for our neighbors. After the glitter of Christmas fades and the Easter candy is gone, we want to be part of your life because you are important to God.

So we are here to meet you in this great spiritual journey called life. Each church has a unique ministry and we gather on Sundays at different times so we hope you will find a church where you feel at home and where you will be able to grow as a child of God. Please feel free to explore any of our churches, browse their pages on this website, check out the calendar of events, a devotional or a blog. We hope you will feel welcome and at home and if the Spirit of God leads, stop by sometime! In the meantime, may God bless your day! Hope to see you soon!"

Romans 1:16-17: "I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.  For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith."
