In the previous chapter we showed some examples of how to select HTML elements. It is a key point learn how jQuery selects the exact element that you want to apply an effect to. jQuery element selectors and attribute selectors allow you to select HTML elements (or groups of elements) by tag name, attribute name or by content. Selectors allow you to manipulate HTML elements as a group or as a single element.
