A true gem!

She removed her shoes and sat on the bed, sweaty, exhausted. Jessie always has that fire in her eyes. That fire of passion, of determination, of dreams. Ever since her childhood, Jessie has seen dreams of being a globally recognized footballer. She started watching football at the age of five and she instantly fell in love with the beautiful game. Then as she grew up, she was not only confined to watching football within the four walls but also wanted to have the ball at her feet. Her parents didn't like her growing love for the game. She came back from school every day, took the ball and dribbled around with it on the lawn.

One fine evening while coming back from school, she noticed a level playing field where there were many boys practicing football under the supervision of an elderly man. After she reached home, she sought permission from her parents to allow her to go and play outside. Her mother stared at her face and her father became furious and started scolding her. He told her that football is a man's game and girls shouldn't dare to play it. But she was adamant. Her passion had no limits and she was ready to take on the prevailing norms in our society.

She went to the coach and told him that she wanted to join his sessions. Mr. Adam hesitated at first but then seeing her height & passion, he decided to enroll Jessie and give her a chance to impress. It was not easy for her, every day coming back from school and then going for practice took a huge toll on her body. In the annual exams that followed, she failed to live up to the expectations of her

parents. Jessie's parents scolded her and blamed her "stupid dreams" for her poor marks. Her father reminded her that playing is of no use, it is studying that is the most important thing in life and can give an identity to an individual. She was present there just physically, but not mentally. All her father's words were entering from one ear and exiting from the other.

Then a day comes for which she was waiting for, playing an official match for the pride. Jessie somehow got a chance to prove her caliber and being the only girl in the team doesn't have any impact on his confidence. Her eyes full of dedication, eyes focused on the ball and her body language was just enough to know her instinct towards the game. She played like a gem, running all over the ground to score, to defend. She got the best player title for the match and her cravings for the game keeps on increasing.

Adam’s was surprised by watching her performance by wearing just ordinary shoes, tees & shorts which she wears at her home.Mr. Adam got impressed by her performance and plan to gift her proper football kit, shoes, leg guards & more after watching Nike’s Black Friday Ad release 2019.
