The 21st Century is an exciting time! Advancements in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics are making the stuff of science fiction a reality. Never before have we seen such exponential growth in the realm of human knowledge. Here on this website, you will find challenging projects that complement the topics we are learning in class. Take the time to explore each of the quests, chose a topic that interests you, and then begin your adventure. If you have any questions, feel free to email me here: mrsevolc@yahoo.com

Introduction to Webquest Investigation: Chemistry
This webquest explores perhaps the most important science of all--chemistry. Chemistry entails study over a broad range of issues from the greenhouse effect to the common food additive. Pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, transportation, and medicine--the list goes on and on--these are just a few examples of the fields affected by chemistry.
The Procedure
Starting on the Science page, you and a partner will begin Webquest: Chemistry. As you both work, pretend that you are a great scientist on a mission to improve the planet. Your job is to learn about some of the most pressing issues facing our civilization and how a thorough understanding of chemistry can help lead to some of the answers. At the end of the Webquest, you will present your findings as a great scientific team. You and your partner are free to decide how you would like to present the information to the class, but ensure that all reflection questions have been answered and included on your PowerPoint.
Each section of this website has been carefully prepared to allow completion of the project page-by-page. Follow the instructions and links provided on each page, carefully. When you finish with the last section, iPad Activities, return to this page to complete the Conclusion section below.

Conclusion to Webquest Investigation: Chemistry
After completing all of the content assigned for this webquest, each of you will prepare a three paragraph paper that addresses the following topics:
1) What have you learned from this webquest project?
2) Why is the study of chemistry important for everyone?
3) How can technology and chemistry be used to improve our live?
4) Are there any areas that you would like to further investigate as a result of this webquest?
Finally, you and your partner will prepare a 6-8 slide presentation on PowerPoint. You will present all of your findings and answers to your essay questions in a clever, concise way that gets your point across.
If you feel ready, go to the Science page to begin!
How Your Project will be Evaluated/Graded.
As you complete the webquest keep these points in minds for grading purposes:
