“ In my 38 years of playing the 5 string and owning several banjos through out my career of stage and studio, I have never put my name and full endorsement behind any one banjo builder until now. I never thought I could find a banjo to stand up against my 1934 RB-4 flathead, but Tim has come so close that it is frightening. I first contacted Tim about building a neck for one of my old banjo’s and as we were talking he asked me if I would like to try one of his banjos. I was a little skeptical to try something new but I knew if Tim Selman built it, it would be of the highest quality. I received a Selman Crown model and have been blown away by the workmanship he has placed into this and the tonal quality that comes from the Blaylock Tone Ring. I only wish I would have had this banjo back in the days with Tom T. Hall. I have put my Granada to rest and will be playing the Selman at all of our performances.
