New York's Hudson River Valley is an area that abounds with folklore and legends. Some of the most popular and memorable legends were written by Washington Irving. Washington Irving chose to make his home in the area known today as Sleepy Hollow...which he immortalized in his most famous tale "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow".

 

The following activities will help you to understand some of the mysteries and legends of  the area, and will give you the opportunity to make your own contribution to the story archive.
