1.

Windows phones are perfect devices for work and play. It gives confidence to the consumers to get things done with mobile versions of the software they recognize and expect from their PCs.

One can check for flights, pay bill and get directions very easily from this handset. Microsoft Office Outlook Mobile delivers a familiar, consistent e-mail experience across the PC, phone and browser, while Microsoft Office Mobile allows customers to open and edit Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents right from their phone. With Windows Live on their phones, users can keep track of friends in one place, no matter which social networking sites they belong to.

Microsoft Corp. has pointed that Windows phones will be available at retail stores worldwide on Oct. 6, 2009. The new phones will be the first to feature Windows Mobile 6.5. It is the latest version of Microsoft’s mobile phone software which is capable to deliver new customer experiences through an improved, easy-to-use user interface.

Windows phones offer better browsing capabilities and access to valuable services, including Windows Marketplace for Mobile and Microsoft My Phone.

2.

Microsoft and its partners unveiled a slew of mobile phones that are powered by Windows Mobile 6.5. They showcased HTC Touch 2, LG GM730 and Samsung Omnia II, which are just some of the phones running the much-awaited operating system.

The first thing that users will notice is the new homescreen which is inspired by Microsoft’s Zune media player and an iPhone-like grid of applications to make it easier to select programs. Users will also see a tighter integration with Microsoft’s Live services and the ability to share photos across social networking websites such as Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and Flickr.

The mobile Internet Explorer also received a makeover. It now resembles its PC counterpart and includes features such as panning and zooming capabilities via finger gestures, auto-complete suggestions and a searchable address bar. Also, the browser supports Adobe Flash Lite so users can access more multimedia content online. Another cool feature of WM 6.5 is that users can still access basic features and switch screens even when the phone is locked.

WM 6.5 also comes with a free My Phone service that offers 200MB of storage for users to securely backup data such as contacts and photos online. Following Apple’s iTunes App Store lead, Microsoft is also introducing a virtual store called Windows Marketplace from which users can buy programs to enhance their phone.

My View:

I think the Windows mobile phone 6.5 is a very great and amazing little invention. It is exactly the thing which the latest generations wish to have. It is small like a mobile phone but has a lot of other exciting new features added on to it and it is can be used in many different ways.

It is not only used for talking and playing games but it is also used for checking for flights, opening and editing Microsoft documents, sharing photos across social networking websites such as Facebook and MySpace and most importantly for keeping track of friends in one place. Besides these, the phone is also made cool to see by adding iPhone homescreen and it also has storage of 200MB memory space so as to save our data files, music files and video files. What more can a person expect beside this.

This phone is like a mini computer with more advanced features which even a computer does not include and it is of great use for people of all ages. Now, this new invention has solved all our troubles and I, as a representation of all the people, would like to thank the Microsoft team for giving us such a wonderful gift. Thank You.
