Week 4 Assignment – Case #2 – Question 17
The web page filed the screen on a wide screen monitor because:

• There was no width definition given to the page as a whole.
• There was no width defined in h1 which allowed the jpeg. to fill the width of the screen. Had there been a width defined, the graphic would have been not shown up as at the defined size leaving the background to show to the right.
• In the columns, column 1 was a defined width by pixels but the other two column widths were stated in percentages so they filled the page per those definitions.

In other words, we made the page fluid because it gave the page the opportunity to accommodate to the size of the screen. It is fluid as opposed to being fixed if the width of the entire page were defined in the cascading style sheets.
