Ruslan Mingazov

Throughout his life Ruslan Mingazov has always fallen under many hardships. Growing up as an only child with a single mother to raise him wasn't an easy gig. Aside from not having a family, it was very difficult for Ruslan to express himself because of the way he spoke. He stuttered when he spoke and later in his life it turned more into a stammer which started to eventually go away. Ruslan grew up with his mother Maisa (Maya) Mingazova. (right) He was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, right before the separation from the USSR. In 1993, at the age of 3, Ruslan and his mother moved to Brooklyn, New York, USA. His mother had to struggle to learn English. She graduated from Kingsborough Community College, with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Programming. 11 years later they moved to Staten Island, New York, where Ruslan attended and graduate from Tottenville High School in 2008 and was determined to go into the field of business after having completed two internships for CitiGroup and AIG. This is where Ruslan met his high school sweetheart which he seems to express in his writing. When it came time for college it came down to heartbreak. As a writer for his high schools newspaper, he decided to continue writing poetry and short stories about the events in his life that brought him to where he is today. Ruslan is now currently a manager for Regal Entertainment Group theatre circuit, Union Square 14, located in New York, NY on the corner of 13th street and Broadway as he also is working on his first book which is yet to be titled.
