Spend quality time with nature in a private setting.

Fishing

Fishing is the main attraction here. Two spring fed rock quarrys, one is 7 acres, the other 10 acres. Very scenic with clear clean water, rocky ledges, limestone shelves and overhangs. Bass are the prime species, along with bluegill, redears, green sunfish, warmouth, and catfish.

Hiking

Approximately 60 acres of hiking available over varied terrain. Grassland, brush, wooded bottomland, creeks, and wetlands, hills and ridges.

Wildlife

We see deer and coyote several times a week here as we do our chores or hike around the ranch. It is not uncommon to see racoons, armadillo, possum, beaver, bobcats, snakes, frogs, lizards and turtles, We have even spotted otters on the back lake.

Birdwatching

Arrive early in the morning at the right time of year and thrill to the spectacle of a flock of Canadian Geese taking off from the water and flying right over your head before they disappear over the distant tree line. Watch Great Blue Herons and Snowy Egrets prowl the shallows for fish and frogs. Take to the woods to see and hear all the songbirds common to this area.

Nature Photography

A combination of hills, trees, water, and wildlife offer countless breathtaking shots of nature at it's finest. Video or still shots of fish swimming under the surface of crystal clear water, deer eating and playing in the pasture, coyotes skulking at the edge of the woods, springtime flowers in the meadows, pink and scarlet sunrises reflected in the lake. Rainbows framing the hills after a spring rain. Those are all pictures I've taken and I'm just an amateur.
