The students at JWM participate in the President's Physical Fitness Tests every school year. The President encourages everyone to live a physically active life. The HealthierU.S.gov web site has many activities and other web sites that can help you to become physically active or help you maintain your physical activity.
Every school year I also ask students to collect money to fight heart attacks and stroke. This program in the elementary schools is called Jump Rope for Heart and is part of the American Heart Association. Here you can learn about the importance of your heart and heart activities you can do. Check it out and get your classroom Teacher involved in Jump Rope for Heart when it happens this year!
Since I am a Teacher I have joined the Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina Health Program and have enjoyed prizes for my physical activity from Blue Points. I encourage all adults and children that belong to BCBS of North Carolina to get prizes for your physical activity.
