Topic: Update
Today Gary went to see Dr Jones his radiologist and good new he no longer needs to see Dr Jones for any radiation though the dr did draw blood to check his platelets cause of a large bruising on his right arm just to do a double check.  His next big dr's apt is august 12th with his cancer dr to find out if he gets the thumbs up to contact Duke Unv. To see he will be a canadate for a lung transplant.  Though we did find out that until Gary gets a new lung he is not able to fly.  So we will have to drive out there then he will be at the hospital from 3 to7 days all depends on the amount of testing they do.  The foundation is currently asking for donations to help cover the cost for him to get there and back for transportation, food, lodging, and a portable concentrator (which is a battery breathing machine and his insurance does not cover.  A donation can be made at pay pal ( xravensheartx@yahoo.com ) or mailed to ravens heart foundation, p.o. box 41, waverly oh 45690.

Ravens Heart Foundation

Ravens Heart Foundation, is a 501-3C Foundation, I have our EIN number and resigred in the state of Ohio and before of the end of year (2014) I will be all set with the IRS.  Ravens Heart Foundation has been created to help low income folks with cancer get the care they cannot afford on their own.  Currently we are working to raise funds to help one gentleman who has small cell lung cancer and only 21% lung function of his left lung. His name is Gary Abel and the type of small cell lung cancer he has cannot be removed and it has two stages one it grows very rapidly or two in very rare cases it grows very slowly.  Well luckily in Gary's case it's has grown very slowly and with the work of his team of Dr's in Chillicothe Ohio Gary has been in remission for almost a year and a half.  Come this Sept if Gary is still in remission then his cancer Dr is giving him the green light to contact Duke University in NC to see if his will be a canadate for a lung transplant. Duke said we will have to stay there anywhere from 1-5 days and that will require us to get a hotel and transportation.

A bit more about Gary he is on 3 liters of O2 24/7, and is not able to walk that far without stopping to get his breath. There for he is going to be in need of a wheel chair for when he goes out for appointments, which also require the use of proper transportation, meaning he will need a van to transport the wheel chair because he cannot also get on the transportation list to take him to his Dr’s appointments.  Gary also had an artery that was  99% block and his cardio Dr put in a stint Gary stills has another artery that is 30% blocked but they are keeping an eye on it.  Gary also is dealing with stomach problems at the moment the only thing his GI Dr has found is that he has a bacterial infection.

I am currently asking for donation to help Gary, even if it’s just a dollar every bit helps. Donations can be made at paypal at the moment the paypal address is xravensheartx@yahoo.com or donations can be mailed to Ravens Heart Foundation  P.O. Box 41 Waverly, Oh 45690. You can follow us also on Facebook and twitter.
