To put it in its simplest description Kompozer is a program that allows for web page authoring. Upon first seeing Komoposer, I was quite surprised at the simple look of the interface and the similar Microsoft Word. With Kompozer users can use different views to look at all the levels of the Web pages. The Web pages created can always checked for compatibility using a validation tool that comes with the software. It also has a site Manager that can act an efficient server to different sites. Pages can be uploaded to a remote server and can use of styles.

            Use of Komposer is easy and familiar because it has many of the same computer commands such as ctrl+V. it also has almost all of the same icons and commands as word such as, page align, bold, spell check, etc. you can also print your existing web Pages and add language dictionaries. It allows the user to work with images, tables, links, frames, forms, layers, templates, scripts, preferences, extensions, alternate profiles and borders. Finally, it can support different types of Doctypes and languages.

Another browser available is called windows expression web. I looked up several site and across one that offered the top ten features of this product. One such is that this program has color coding to help the user from differentiating when setting up a page that includes a violation detector. It also allows for quick direct editing on the design of the page. You can debug many browsers at the same time. It also supports many CSS, JavaScript, ASP.NET , Windows Media, and many more. It also lets you change schemas.

To top it off it allows for the drag and drop of multiple types of media and graphics. It also comes with a top of the line graphics editor software to create stunning images used on your page. You can also embed videos for web streaming. When publishing sites the program can do more than one at a time and send them to multiple sites. Last but not least you can use Photoshop files which a big plus

Last but not least we come to Dreamweaver a very powerful web page editor. One major feature is that you can edit live in a real-time browser. Another very helpful feature is code hinting which allows for quicker editing and creating. You can also vie many related files at once.  Dreamweaver also displays the codes that will affect the current events which is a help in editing. It also like all supports many different technologies including the new FLV.

Luckily, for the novices it comes with many built in tutorials and online services such as , technical support and  community. It also comes with in context editing to allow end use to edit without additional software. Also use data sets which allow for easier design. And last but not least it allows for quick updating to keep pages compatible.
