SALIM MUSA AL-ASHI (1909-1984), also known as "Doctor Dahesh", was the most prolific worker of supernatural miracles in recorded human history. He is known in the Arab-speaking world as "The Man of Miracles". He wrote 150 books including five Books of Revelation. He founded the Noble Spiritual Faith of Daheshism in Beirut in 1942. Millions believe he was the greatest magician of all time. Thousands believe he was a miracle-working Prophet and reincarnation of Jesus Christ. The Dahesh Society of Utah is a fellowship of Believers in reincarnation, karma, extraterrestrial human origins, UFOs, ESP, and the paranormal. Our membership is open to anyone interested in any and all of those subjects. We meet together monthly for Feast to share stories of the supernatural and listen to interesting talks on those subjects of mutual interest. Along with a monthly Feast we also plan to have classes in Kriya Yoga, meditation, past-life regression (via hypnosis), astral travel, and spirit-communication.

The Dahesh Society of Utah was founded in 2024 by Ignacio Kaboo and A.E. Moss, as a place of fellowship for believers in reincarnation and karma in Utah. The Society is associated with CEPA (International Spiritist Federation) headquartered in Brazil. We promote Spiritist books (compiled by Alan Kardec) as well as books by Doctor Dahesh, Parasurama Yogananda, Sylvia Browne, and other New Age authors.

The Five Principles

The five principles of the Dahesh Society of Utah are simple:

*God is the Mind of the Cosmos

*Karma is the Universal Law of the Cosmos

*Reincarnation is the Way of the Cosmos

*Do good deeds, say good words, and think good thoughts.

*DO NO HARM is the Whole of the Law

Anyone who ascribes to the Five Principles and signs a Declaration Card may become Members of the Dahesh Society of Utah.

The Five Activities

The Dahesh Society of Utah engages in the following Five Activities:

*Feasts (fellowship with other reincarnation believers and inquirers once a month)

Astral-Hypnotism (for past-life regression and out of body experience/astral travel)

Astral Travel and Past-Life Regression

Seeing your own Guardian Spirits in a mirror

Kriya Yoga (highest form of meditation that helps reduce stress, helps those with Post-Traumatic Disorder, helps those with addictions to food, sex, cigarettes, drugs, etc.).

The Dahesh Free Soup Kitchen and the Dahesh Homeless Village for Women are the two charity activities of the Society

The Society offers Seekers of Truth the opportunity to not simply have "faith" that reincarnation is true, but to visit their own past lives during Past-Life Regression sessions. Also, the Society will give classes in Astral Projection so that Seekers may know, and not just "have faith", that their soul exists.

Kriya Yoga was brought to North America from India by Parasurama Yogananda: an Indian Yogi and author of Autobiography of a Yogi. Kriya Yoga includes deep meditation and breathing, and is helping for anyone with anxiety, PTSD, depression, or addictions. Kriya Yoga also helps a person deal with daily stress.

The Society plans to engage in charity work by opening up a Free Soup Kitchen and Laundry for the homeless, and also establish a small "Dahesh Village for Homeless Women" that could house up to 40 homeless women and their pets. Women their pets are now denied shelters unless they abandon their pets: which very few are willing to do.

Along with these Five Activities there will be Sunday Schools for children, Sunday Firesides if there is enough interest, and possibly Summer camps.

The Society has no bishops, no worthiness interviews, no "Church Disciplinary Councils", no 10% tithing, no Sunday Schools for adults, no Sacrament meetings, no Relief Society, no Priesthood for males only, no tithing settlement, no "ministering", not rites for the dead (other than prayers), no genealogy work, no rules regarding dress, tatoos, earrings, or beards, and no secret Masonic-like rituals.

The Society will have an elected Spiritual Council (men and women), an Order of male and female priests (Order of Enoch) who mostly engage in charity work, monthly (not weekly) Feasts, a 2% of income Zakat, a healing rite called the Ramz (can be administered by male or female priests), prayers for the dead (can be recited anywhere by anyone), and classes in Kriya Yoga, Out of Body Experience (OBE), Past-Life Regression, Passing (mild exorcism), he Ramz (healing) rite, and seeing your guardian spirits via the Psychomanteum (totally dark room with mirrors).

Seekers

Members of the Dahesh Society of Utah are called "Seekers" (as in Seekers of Truth). Membership is open to all who believe in in the Five Principles. Seekers meet for Feast in the "meeting room" of pizza parlors or in the homes of other "Hosts" (Seekers who host Feasts) or in community centers (until a Dahesh Temple can be established).

The Society is completely democratic with officers elected for one year terms on or around June 1st (anniversary of the birth of Doctor Dahesh on June 1st 1909 in Jerusalem).

There are no mandatory meetings in the Dahesh Society. There are no Bishops. There are no "Worthiness Interviews". Nobody will ask about your private sex life, nor how much money you make.

The Spiritual Council

The Society is governed by an elected council of seven men and women who are elected by voting members yearly on or near June 1st. The Council must maintain gender balance: in even years the Council must consist of 4 women and 3 men, and in odd years the Council must consist of 4 men and 3 women. The Council will consist of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and two Alternates. The Council must have a quorum of five to do Society business. None of the Councilors receive compensation of any kind, and all must be voting members of the Society.

The Dahesh Temple

The ultimate goal of the Dahesh Society of Utah is to rent or build or renovate a property as a place of congregation, hold Sunday Schools for children, hold one hour Sunday Firesides, and to hold classes in Kriya Yoga, past-life regression, meditation, Reiki, and spirit-communication (psychomanteums). This "Dahesh Temple" will have no secret rites, but be a place for Feasts, Sunday Schools (for children), meditation, Reiki, spirit-communication, past-life regression, and a large lending library filled with New Age books.


The Dahesh Temple of Salt Lake will be a place of congregation and fellowship, learning, and spiritual healing with no secret rites

Code of Conduct for Feasts

Members of the Society (Seekers) will be invited to meet once a month for "Feast": which includes a prayer, a Reading, and a Lecture (talk). The Reading cannot last more than 3 minutes. The Lectures cannot last more than 15 minutes. After the Lectures there will be time for eating and socializing. New Members will be asked to give a five minute or less "Introduction" that answers the questions: Name, place of birth, occupation, why I am attending the Feast.

A "Feast Group" is a group of Seekers and Guests who meet at a certain location on a certain day at a certain time. A Feast Group is headed by a "Host" who must be a voting member of the Society.

The Feasts have a Code of Conduct which Seekers promise to obey when they sign the Declaration Card:

1. Wear clean, modest, and well-kept clothing
2. Do not wear perfume or cologne (some are allergic) but use underarm deodorant (non-perfumed preferred)
3. Donate at least one dollar into the Feast Offering Box at every Feast you attend.
4. Do not tell sexual or racial jokes
5. Do not talk about sex or sexual orientation
6. Do not try to recruit others into any MLM or investments but you may talk about your business or career.
7. If you smoke please sit at the "Smokers Table" because non-smokers are often allergic.
8. Do not talk during the Lectures or Readings.
9. If your child is crying or making a lot of noise please take them outside or to another room until they are quiet again.

10. Do not nurse openly but go to a private room or your vehicle.
11. Remain silent during prayers and bow your head
12. Say "Amen" only after the Speaker says "Amen".

The Order of Enoch

The Society will have a "religious order" of male and female priests called the Order of Enoch. They will wear a distinct clerical uniform, and be retired singles or couples who will live communally in "Order Homes" and serve the Society full-time. They are expected to live on their own retirements or on SSI or SSDI. They will receive two free meals a day, plus a free room to sleep in, plus uniforms from the Order. They will receive health insurance from the State of Utah. They will run the Society and Temples and also the Dahesh Free Soup Kitchen and Laundry for the homeless, and Dahesh Village for homeless women (a planned pallet-house village that will hold up to 40 homeless women and their pets). The Order of Enoch will be supported by half of the Zakat.


The Order of Enoch consists of male and female Daheshist priests trained in hypnotism and the Ramz rite who work full-time for the Society mostly in the activity of charity

Feast Groups

The congregations are divided into "Feast Groups" with each Group meeting once a month (day or evening) for Feast. For example:

4th Sunday FG
4th Saturday FG

Therefore for each region there can be up to 8 Feast-Groups, and that can be further split into 16 Feast Groups (morning group and evening group meeting every Saturday and Sunday). If need be, further Feast Groups can be created for Friday evenings making a total of 20 Feast Groups per Region if the need arises. The Regions of the Society include Salt Lake County, Davis County, Weber County, Cache Valley, Utah Valley, St. George, and Online. Each Region has a Rep on the Council.

Each Feast Group is headed by a coordinator called and Overseer (elected) plus Conductors, Readers, and Helpers (food, transport, children, etc.).

Some Feast Groups will be meat-based (MB), others Vegetable based (VB), and others Vegan (V), or a combination of all three (MB.VB,V). A few Feasts will be for smokers (S) and others only for non-smokers (NS).

There are no "weekly" meetings except Sunday Schools for children, and even those are not mandatory. Weekly Sunday Firesides will be offered if there is enough regional interest.

Feast Groups meet on Saturdays and Sundays and (if there is enough interest) also on Friday nights. A Feast Group must consist of at least 3 adults and their children.

Sunday Schools

The Dahesh Society has no Sunday Schools for adults and no mandatory Sunday Schools for children. Sunday and Saturday schools for children between the ages of 4 and 15 may be established where there is interest and a safe place to hold the schools.

There is no "Sacrament" meeting. We meet together for Feast once a month.

There is no Relief Society or Priesthood. There is an Order called the Order of Enoch which will consist of male and female priests who work full-time for the Order in either the Free Soup Kitchen or the Village for Homeless Women. Priests also perform the RAMZ Rite which is a healing rite taught by Doctor Dahesh to his disciples.

Most Members of the Society will not be members of the Order of Enoch.

Zakat

The Society is divided into Officers (Spiritual Council), voting members, associate members, and wards (children of members). To join the Society one must sign a Declaration Card agreeing to the Five Principles, and agreeing to the Code of Conduct for Feasts, and agreeing to donate at least one dollar every time they attend a Feast. All voting members also pay Zakat. Associate members do not pay Zakat but donate only to the Feast Offering Box at each Feast they attend. Membership into the Society is open to anyone aged 18 and over who signs a Declaration Card.

The Society has no "tithing" per se, but "zakat" which is 2% of income of voting members. Of that two percent, one per cent goes to the Dahesh Temple fund, and one per cent goes to Order of Enoch: the order of male and female priests who run the Society and run the Dahesh Free Soup Kitchen and Laundry a Dahesh Village for Homeless Women in Salt Lake City. The Order of Enoch has three establishments:

*The Dahesh House (communal house for members of the Order)

*The Dahesh Free Soup Kitchen and Laundry (in or near downtown Salt Lake City)

*The Dahesh Village for Homeless Women (somewhere in or near Salt Lake City).

After the Salt Lake Dahesh Temple is completed, then other smaller Dahesh Temples will be planned for Ogden, Logan, and Utah County (and possibly St. George). These Temples will be simple meetinghouses and not extravagant. There will be no expensive Italian marble, no $200,000 chandeliers, no expensive furniture or rugs. They will be simple and plain, and be renovated church buildings or renovated store fronts.

Until the Salt Lake Dahesh Temple is completed, Seekers (Members) will meet in the homes of "Hosts" and in pizza parlors which have free meeting rooms for clubs that are free on condition food and drink is purchased. Also in community centers where these exist and are available for Feasts.

NOTE: Neither Ignacio Kaboo nor A.E. Moss will be on the Spiritual Council and thus will never have any access whatsoever to the Zakat. The Dahesh Society cannot accept donations of any kind until the Spiritual Council is elected and the Society is legally established in Utah.

The Position of Jesus in the Society

The Society looks upon Jesus of Nazareth as the Son of God, and Savior of our souls. He is the Central Figure in the Society and in the teachings of Doctor Dahesh of Lebanon.

Joseph Smith and The Book of Mormon

The Society has no official doctrine concerning Joseph Smith or The Book of Mormon. Members of the Society can view Joseph Smith any way they wish: prophet, fallen prophet, or false prophet. Neither Joseph Smith nor The Book of Mormon will be part of the discussion in the Society.

Rules of Behavior

There is a Code of Conduct for Feasts that all Members and Guests must be aware of and agree to. However, outside of Feasts, there are not Society laws or rules that Members must obey except: DO NO HARM IS THE WHOLE OF THE LAW.

There is no Word of Wisdom, no regulations concerning hair or dress, no laws concerning Sabbath day, nor any laws concerning sexual activity other than keeping the Fifth Principle: DO NO HARM.

Atheists and Agnostics

Membership in the Society is only open to believers in reincarnation. However, Atheists and Agnostics are still welcome to join our Feasts and even enroll their children into our planned Sunday Schools for children if they wish: at not cost to them.

LGBTQIA+

Membership in the Society is open to everyone who accepts the Five Principles: including Shaddeen (LGBTQIA), and the Shaddeen (Arabic: "those out of the norm") may hold their own Feast Groups if they wish if there is enough interest. A Feast Group must have 3 active adult participants. The size of Feast Groups are governed according to the size of the Place of Feast: which can be the home of a Host, a pizza parlor meeting room, a community center, a park bench, a restaurant table, or a Dahesh Temple.

Wards

The term "ward" in the Society refers to a minor child of a Society member.

Inquirers

Seekers may bring non-members of the Society (Guests), and those who attend Feasts but who have not yet signed a Declaration Card are called "Inquirers".

CEPA

The Dahesh Society of Utah is in fellowship with CEPA (The International Spiritist Association) headquartered in Brazil), a worldwide fellowship of reincarnation believers headquartered in Brazil.

CEPA has about three million members worldwide: mostly in Brazil. They publish and promote the Spiritist books compiled by Alan Kardec in the 1850s in France. There are thousands of "Spiritist Centers" in Brazil and around the world.

Purpose of the Dahesh Society of Utah

I. To provide a place of fellowship for reincarnation believers in Utah

II. To promote the books and teachings of Doctor Dahesh of Lebanon and other Spiritist and New Age teachers.

III. To engage in charity work via the Dahesh Free Soup Kitchen and Laundry and the Dahesh Village for Homeless Women: both to be established in Salt Lake City.
