How time passes. Just a year ago, many people woke up with a smile from ear to ear, knowing that the day had come when Nintendo was back on its feet, with nothing less than a new console and the Zelda designed to be Wii U only. 365 days later some years later we keep it.

It was a moment of furor that lasted for weeks and resumed with the arrival of each of its two DLCs. Much has already been said in this house of Breath of the Wild, both for its unquestionable quality and for the ease with which it is possible to extract ideas from it and think about how they can be applied outside of it. It's hard to say something that hasn't already been said because it has meant a before and after.

I question the global impact this Zelda has had on the industry because it's simply not the first time the adjective "revolutionary" has been abused. The acclaimed mesis de La Tierra-Media: Sombras de Mordordoesn't end up revolutionizing the open worlds or, no matter how much good Rafa liked it, I doubt that Kingdom Come Deliverancegoes to revolutionize the open world RPG. Video games mutate for other reasons such as the power of the gentleman don money, but there are changes on a smaller scale. For example, I think the Zelda saga won't be the same; Breath of the Wildsí saga that has revolutionized it.

A year later we can say that it has already passed. The journey to the most open Hyrule has unveiled all its additional content and is now an immutable, defined product. I don't know what to remember from your trip if you've played it but, in my case, the most remarkable thing I can't extract from either the divine beasts or Hyrule Castle: I keep the little moments. Away from the script. The great virtue of this game comes from its ability to create instants ú retinal memories; what you remember and share ofé it is that specific situation in which you are involved, not how you traveled the same path or solved certain situation. It is an important nuance.

The systemic approach of this Zelda opens the door to an infinite number of approaches that in turn lead to a multitude of results, and I believe that this is what will truly set the stage for future deliveries, is what will transcend. It's been a before and after that. As we wait to hear more about the upcoming adventure (where Aonuma is already involved), I recommend celebrating its first anniversary by reviewing the analysis of our former helmsman and friend Ví ctor Junquera, to see if your opinion remains the same.
