Baseball trading pins refer to the trading, buying and/or selling of collectible pins and other related items that feature your favourite baseball teams. Pin Trading: The Beginnings


The earliest trading pins accounted for were not even pins at all, they were badges. And these badges were used at the Olympics back in 1896. They were used to visually identify the athletes and officials as representatives of a certain country. As years went by, the use of badges to identify competing teams have evolved into what the populace now know as the trading pins.


Collecting and trading pins amongst game spectators were first allowed in 1980. The activity quickly became popular and thus became a hobby for thousands of people, much like today. Collecting pins and other memorabilia of favourite sports teams has since become a much more varied activity than it is before.


People are generally creative in nature. Trading pins available nowadays come in an array of shapes, colors, styles, and sizes. For sports fans, trading pins are collected to express their loyalties to the teams and players of their choice. Thanks to the rich history of pin trading, we now get to enioy a hobby that’s both interesting and lasting.
