Custom candle & aromatherapy boxes are made for packaging and branding of candles and aromatherapy products. There is a lot of styles and design-related options that one might consider for their candle boxes and you can find many posts on the internet, written with the purpose of helping brands getting the kind of candle packaging that will do the job for them.
While you can always use a good advice and improve your candle packaging, today’s post is actually about the kind of things that you should not do with your custom candle & aromatherapy boxes
At times you have to stop taking the “do this” and “do that” advice and for once you have to listen to the “do whatever you want to do, but please do not do this” kind of advice. In this blog post, you will get exposed to the customized candle packaging ideas that ruined the whole shebang. Do whatever you want to do, but please do not do this.
1. Packaging Candles on Cardboard Paper
Let us admit; there are those products with their own natural limitations. Take ice cream for an example; it cannot be packed inside a simple Kraft paper. Likewise, the candle is made of different types of waxes and it is vulnerable to too much heat or moisture. Thus, you cannot go for the packaging which will be 100% stylish with little to no protection provided to the wax, from natural elements like UV rays and moisture.
2. Wrong Representation
A few items only remain unsold because their packaging represented them in a wrong way. There are those brown, clean and rough simple cardboard boxes made out of corrugated fiberboard. They are used for packaging a lot of products, but a candle should be the last thing to be packed in such a lifeless and unattractive pack. See, all products and things that we humans use can be associated with one or another emotion or necessity.
Candles are always associated with feelings of aroma, peace, happiness, love and calm etc. This is why bore and dull plain cardboard packaging is a bad idea for personalized candle & aroma boxes. Make sure that you get artistically done and 100% customized candle & aromatherapy boxes with floral designs or any other beautiful objects such as fruits (aroma … remember), butterflies or birds etc. Such an attractive packaging will at least make the prospect come and have a look at the product packed inside, if not buy it immediately.
3. Unimaginative and Traditional Packaging Styles
Avoid them. For God sake, do not get into the kind of packaging approaches and styles which already very much in demand and followed. Doing what everyone else is doing is not the key to success; doing something different and still convenient is what success demands.
Here is this example; most of the candle and aromatherapy manufacturing businesses wrap their round candles inside a square or rectangular box made out of tough corrugated fiberboard layers. Well, there is no problem with this, except one; almost all candle companies are doing this. We have to steer away from the mainstream content and try something which is not only unique but easy for the customers as well.
How about trying round packaging instead of square or rectangular boxes? A round-shape candle will not only easily fit inside the round-shape box but will look good as well. What is that they say about the round pegs? Well, you got my point.
These three NOT TODOS are very important; try them and see how you will naturally boost the packaging of your candles, which will improve the branding and resultantly the sales as well.
