Each year the time comes again where a very special mother must be selected to go forward for ‘Mother Earth of the year 2009’ which will be held in August. On interviewing Theresa, she said “ Well at first I thought he was plamásing me. He’d often do that when he was looking for something from me but I’m just shocked at the news that I’ve won you know”.

When asked what her secret was, she put it across very plainly to us;

Congrats to Theresa on achieving Mother of the Year Award 2009!

It has even been alleged that Theresa scrubs skirting boards and walls. Well they do say you don’t get

awards like these for nothing!

On speaking to her son Brian about how he felt he said “ Ah sure she’s great you know. I’d miss her now when she’s gone for a while”. When asked if that was because no dinners would be cooked, Brian replied “I’ve no further comment”. Brian did however express great confidence in her on achieving the world title because according to his view, “She’s simply a great mother!”.
