3 Fast Facts About Mr. Nied
This is Mr. Nied's little spot on the Internet. I'm a 7th grade teacher at the Pocono Mountain School District (Swiftwater Intermediate School) and this is my page to help both parents and students throughout the year.
Here you can find some things that may help you, some important due dates, upcoming events at school, and an easy way to get in touch with Mr. Nied.
Here is small list of what materials you will need daily in Mr. Nied's classroom. Here's an overview of the coming school year's units. The order of the units shouldn't change a whole lot, but circumstances may cause a change in what order we go through the units.
Near the end of the Roll of Thunder unit you will all be working in pairs on a Web Page Project! You will get all of the details in class, but this will be the site that you can access to see each class's predictions
Mr. Nied is also the throwing coach for the Pocono Mountain East Track and Field team. (Note the emphasis on Field, as I never go anywhere near the Track.) The Throwing events in PA are the Javelin, the Discus and the Shot Putt. Of course I encourage anyone who is interested in Track to get in touch with me, unfortunately there isn't a program in place for our students until 9th grade. (We're working on getting a 7-8 grade program as you read this.)
