Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Miles Hendrix (his birth name is Michael Johnson) is a 22 year old singer/songwriter/guitar player blessed with enough soul to tell a story in a song and plenty of funk to perform an outstanding show.
     Growing up in New Orleans, Miles was surrounded by all types of music, which helped him develop an ecclectic taste of music.  Taking notes from Jimi Hendrix, Prince, James Brown, the Rolling Stones, Miles Davis, David Bowie, Eric Clapton, and Metallica (to name a few!), Miles's music is somewhat eccentric yet very positive.  His music has a psychedelic funk sound with a splash of soul and a twist of rock.
     Miles tries not to take himself too seriously and although he has a passion for entertaining people with his original music, he pays homage to some of the greats.
