Natasha Poly Poses For Isabel Marant's Spring 2015 Ad Campaign

Isabel Marant cast Natasha Poly to front her spring 2015 ad campaign. The images — which were photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin — feature the model in obi belts, fringe and a sprightly hairstyle.

"The inspiration for the spring-summer show was something tribal, but not in the literal sense. And so for the campaign, we wanted to show a very modern and urban girl, but also to get across her savage attitude," Marant told WWD about the collection.

"She's a warrior, but she's also fun. It's not supposed to be so serious," she said about Poly.

Atelier Franck Durand creative directed the campaign, which has a bit of a wild warrior vibe to it.

"Natasha has a lot of different characters and we knew she would play the game. She is also not as [branded] as the other girls," Marant told WWD.

She added that the makeup done by Lisa Butler and hair by Didier Malige was "a bit animal too — like a leopard or a lioness."

The campaign is to run in the February issues of French Vogue, British Harper's Bazaar and Elle, and then debut in the March issues of Elle U.S. and Interview magazine.

Isabel Marant is currently working to open stores at the Miami Design District and in San Francisco.

For its fall 2014 ad campaign, the brand tapped Gisele Bündchen. The images are remembered as a departure from the super sexy photographs the Brazilian supermodel typically poses in. In the images, Bündchen is dressed in a number of menswear-inspired looks, including some cozy knits and relaxed suiting.

Bündchen replaced Daria Werbowy, who was Isabel Marant's spring campaign star last year.
