The Urquhart Clan is probably one of the most published and recognized Clans of the Highlands of Scotland.  They have a very colourful background dating back to the 13th Century when William Urquhart with his friends William Wallace and Robert The Bruce, became directly involved in the overthrow of the British Crown in Scotland . The Urquhart family during the years that followed had many land holdings and to this day are a well recognized clan

Our family has the privelage of being connected to the Clan through Jean Urquhart of Dundee (daughter of Mr an Mrs urquhart also of Dundee) in the 18th century she had a daughter out of wed lock Jean Jane urquhart who married Jock Miller also of Dundee they had three daughters Jessie, Jean and Margaret.  In 1905 the Millers immigarted to the Port City of Saint John New Brunswick where Jock worked in the foundry of T McAvity and Son's in Saint John. Many years later most of the Miller Family migrated to the United States of America Today decendants of the Barker and Poulsen family remain in the Florida region of the USA

Daughter Jessie married Walter Eldon Masson (son of John and Lyda Masson) also of Saint John NB
They had two sone John and  Henry Masson, who continued to reside near the City of Saint John until their deaths Today the decendats of this family count near 100
