Welcome to Tim's Genealogy Studies,  For over 25 years my wife Shirley  and I have been gathering information on our family tree's.  When we started this quest, we decided that all families that came into contact with our root family ( being Masson/ Silver) would be researched as well,  we never realized, that many years ago, this would develop into over 5000 names and a history lesson second to none.  You will find on the right side bar a list of family's that have been and continue to be researched

We have been very fortunate with some of our research,  due to the help of many, we have been able to gather information dating back in one case to the 13th Century,  many others into the 17th Century.  On May 20th 2010 we received a Blue accreditation from Family Tree Maker, meaning that 1,599 names within our program, have been perfectly matched with 10 other research groups including their main computer.  This is an outstanging achievment and we are very pleased to receive it. In Sept 2011 we received a silver accreditation meaning 2/3's of all of our names are correct and verified.

We have also studied our family veterens, who have served in many different conflicts including: Europe, North America, Africe, and both East  and  West Asia.  Even today we have family members serving in conflicts around the world.  Many have given their lives in the name of freedom.

Foot note Many years ago while on the phone to Aunt Jessie (Chipman) McPhee.  My mothers younger sister, mentioned that her daddy had told her, they owned a castle in Spain, I snickered and informed her she was from Newfoundland, and there was no castle in Spain.  This little woman bairly a minute tall stated very clearly that her daddy never lied, and I had better get to work and find this castle.  Well the truth is, there is a 84 room home on the side of a mountain in a small village in Spain owned by the Sharpe family, and I guess to most of us thats a castle.  So for those doing family research, there is a moral to this story,  in every story passed on from generation to generation, there is always a grain of truth, no matter how small, and it is your job to find that grain, and bring it forward.  Always keep an open mind when doing family research.
