Breaking Benjamin is an alternative rock band from Wilkes-barre, Pennsylvania which was founded by lead vocalist Benjamin Burnley.
The band has released 3 mainstream ablums titled (in order) Saturate,We Are Not Alone, and Phobia, as well as a smaller ablum which was self-entiltled.
BAND NAME
The band got its name when lead vocalist Benjamin Burnley was at a local bar performing a cover of a Nirvana song. During his performance Benjamin dropped the mic causing it to break. The owner of the bar appeared and said "Thanks benjamin for breaking my f*#%^@g mic." Shortly after the band was known as Breaking Benjamin.
LOGO
According to the band, the Breaking Benjamin logo, a variation of the Celtic knot, was found in a tattoo book by a fan. The logo is also tattooed on Burnley's left wrist.

SUCCESS
Band achieved their greatest success in 2007 when the track "Breath" reached #1 on the charts for a breif period of time. However the band has been relatively well known in the western side of the US especially in California for years. With the help of "Breath" reaching #1 their popularity has skyrocketed across the US. Their tours have sold out all across the country on numerous occasions.
FUTURE PLANS
The band plans to continue touring across the country promoting their most recent ablum phobia. They have realeased press statements that reveal they are working on a new ablum and will reveal a relase date at a later date.
CONCERTS
The band live performances have been known to involve alot of time consuming antics to give their crew time to set up for specail effects and to let band members switch instruments. Their live performances are almost always sold out as the band nears super stardom.

HALO GAMES
The bands is featured on the Halo series soundtrack for their song "Blow Me Away" which is the official soundtrack to the games. Other songs by the band have been associated with the game as well.
