Lee was a very smart general in the civil war he was offered a position as general of the united states but turned it down and later became general of the C.S.A. or confederate states of america.The south only had 3 advantages Lee, they would be fightin on their land more familar to them and thats all.The south survived 4 years in the unequal fight.But Lee surrendered to save his men at a couthouse in Appomatics,Virginia.
