IT ALL STARTED IN THE WINTER OF 2008. ONE NIGHT, I FORGOT TO TAKE THE TRASH BAGS FROM THE PORCH TO THE GARAGE. LOL!! SILLY ME!!! IN THE MORNING... THERE WAS SUCH A MESS!! Little did I know that Lucy was just looking for scraps in the cold winter to stay plump for the babies she would soon have!!
Over the next several months, you could call me the Absent-Minded Trash Thrower-Outer. Which involved lots of icky trash to pick up.. but I'm sure Lucy didn't mind my forgetfulness ;)
FINALLY... I decided I'd had enough fun picking up week old dirty diapers and spilling sewage on my shoes, so Lucy HAD TO GO!! LOLZ!
I set a trap and on the 3rd night, SHE TOOK THE BAIT! Guess what it was??
CHICKEN AND MARSHMALLOWS!!! Lucy loves chicken and marshmallows. The night I caught her, we sat up and talked and I fed her more marshmallows and she grabbed them with her tiny little human hands and gobbled them up!

I took Lucy to a nice piece of woods and marshland the next day.. we said our goodbyes and she left. BTW, I know she had babies cuz I spied on her through the window at night and she had swollen nipples!1 ZOMG!!
I LOVE YOU LUCY!!! MAY ALL YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE!!! P.S. Sorry about taking you away from your babies, but I'm sure they will do fine with all the excellent raccoon training you surely provided them. Who knows, maybe one will grow up to be a doctor raccoon and help all the little sick raccoons!!!!1
