Joyce Menefee is missing, for the past 4 years she has lived with her mother who had Alzheimer's and was not able to take care of her self in Shawnee OK. Joyce took care of her mother 24/7. On December 7 2008 her mother died between December 12, 2008 and December 16, 2008 Joyce went missing her family, a brother and sister will not say where she is. With in hours of sending this statement to the Shawnee Police Department, my wife called, she was at her sister’s house. It was my wife hiding from me and not her brother or sister hiding her. They were just doing what my wife ask of them. The statement below is not correct, it is my fault that I believe that my wife could not be hiding from me. In fact she was. I have known Joyce for more that 46 years, why with out warning has she disappeared , without telling me where she was going and why has she not tried to contact me as to her where abouts. I have a feeling that she has been committed by her brother and is being held without her consent. This is not right and I feel she has a right to handle her life the way she wants to, not the way her family see’s fit. Her Brother was never there much to help care for there mother maybe 40 min’s a day, and her Sister was not there in the four year that Joyce cared for there mother. She could be in or around Shawnee, OK, Albuquerque, N.M., Antioch, Ca. or someplace in Texas.
