So I have a weakness for typography. Especially those that interweave and seem to hold a fairytale quality to them. The medieval look to the Raffia font, by Dutch type designer Henk Krijger, is captivating, a remarkable typeface where the illustration provides a story within itself. Inspired by the way real raffia behaves (it reminds me of grapevine) - the font mimics the bends and curvature of the ribbon, creating an ornamental calligraphy that springs to life.
