What does it mean to purchase recycled custom furniture?
One must understand, the beauty of using recycled lumber is that the wood has character and personality. There are flaws from removed paint, nails, screws and staples. The majority of labor expended is used to prepare the boards before they can be used for anything. For this reason, we are the only company willing to put forth so much effort to conserve and create.
You could go to the Home Depot and buy a cheap patio piece made in China being light-weight for easy shipping which will not last very long. You could buy some fresh cut wood and build it yourself for a little more money. Or, you could save a few trees and gain durability and instant character by obtaining a piece used from recycled lumber leaving no consumer footprint whatsoever.
We hope everyone will choose the later. That's why we do this, so you have the choice!
Note to buyer:
Our custom furniture is available natural, with a golden oak or cedar stain. There is a $50 fee/piece for custom staining.
