Blue Lagoon Cruises - The Ultimate Fiji Experience

There is no more a relaxing, indulgent vacation experience near to house than a Fiji, Blue Lagoon Cruise of the Yasawa Islands!

Within 3 hours of the arrival of Nadi, we were resting on the aft deck of the 34 cabins 'Fijian Princess', sipping our very first mixed drinks as we viewed the sun slowly sink down into the cobalt sea. This was a the first day of our 8-day schedule that we will show an array of citizenships from all over the world.

Our air-conditioned cabin is large, with a big window and a generous queen-size bed.

Complimentary bubbles to all visitors courtesy of Blue Lagoon Cruises sits in a bucket awaiting us. We unpack our very few items needed for this cruise; swimsuits, t-shirts, sorts, sun cream, and books. The gown clothing on board is extremely casual!

The opening night is the Captain's welcoming dinner served at 8 pm. The night is pleasant as we slowly cruise towards the Yasawa islands whilst smiling Fijian personnel provides a terrific ala carte menu. From tomorrow onwards all meals up until the last night will be buffet style.

Our travel plan over the next 7 days checks out like the supreme relaxation dream. Morning swim for those inclined to a 6 am a wake-up call, followed by breakfast, then onto the tenders for a trip to an incredibly white and deserted beach. Snorkeling, swimming, reading, early morning tea then back to the boat for a sumptuous lunch. A brief cruise during lunch to another equally beautiful and deserted beach and a repeat of the morning's activities. Bliss! Aside from the daily beach visits and snorkeling, there is a chance to check out a remote Fijian village and participate in a conventional welcome and kava event, plus purchase hand made carvings, shell necklaces, and gorgeous sarongs. We also have a chance to go to a location school where the kids take much enjoy amusing us with conventional tune and dance. And for those requiring to address those rapidly included kilos, there is an over-island trek offering spectacular views!

Back on board each night by 5:30 and sail to our over night anchor while the team captivates us with guitar and tune as we relax the bar sipping beer, wine, and cocktails. We likewise try our hand at the compulsory Fijian dance 'Tralala', where crew carries everyone up onto the dance floor by the bar to enjoy this basic but entertaining 3 advances, 2 steps back 'dance!' And then a premium buffet supper, the theme of which alters every night.

Of all the locations checked out within the cruise itinerary, none is more spectacular than Nanuya Lailai, an independently rented island by Blue Lagoon Cruises. Here the 'Fijian Princess' can drop anchor just meters off a stunning white sandy beach allowing visitors to swim to coast if they choose! This island offer's numerous activities for our two sees here; fish feeding off Savuti Point at the end of the island, glass bottom boat, kayaks, beach touch, volley ball, and massage rugby versus the team and snorkeling trips to a minimum of 3 different reefs. At night on the very first stay we enjoy a 'Lovo' banquet, the Fijian response to our hangi whilst on the second stay, a standard bonfire is constructed as goodbye after a wonderful onshore Fiji food buffet.

After 8 days of sensational warm weather condition, sea with bath-like temperature levels, and wonderful food, it's time to head back to Nadi and home... and to plan our next Blue Lagoon cruise!
