ICE CREAM GROW
  • 400w MH/HPS light air cooled

  • fan for air circulation

  • either the door is open like you see in the pic or the else there are seperate intake/exhaust fans running (intake actually brings in fresh air from outside the house, not just outside the hydrohut)

  • Temps are normally between 75 deg. F & 85 deg F. I've had a few spikes to about 90 deg. F directly under the light, in the middle of the day.

  • The temperature of the nutrient solution is between 73.4 deg. F & 75.2 deg. F

  • Basic nutreints are Advanced Nutrients Micro-Grow-Bloom used in 1:2:3 / 3:2:1 ratios

  • Veggatative addative used is Green Fuse growth stimulator

  • Flowering addatives going to be used are monster bloom (whole flowering phase), purple maxx (whole flowering phase), Gravity (end of flowering only)

  • I mixed the nutes at 1/4 strength the nutrient solution is about 190ppm (starting off with 0ppm RO water)

  • The ph is kept between 5.5 and 5.8

  • this is 1 of 2 plants with spots on the leaves

this plant had really bad curling leaves, you can see where i cut off the curled part that little brown spot came a day later

This is the other plant that has really bad spotting on it, which started about 2 days after i transfered the plants into the grow table they are in now

Just a pic of the other side of one of spotted plants above

sorry no pics of top of plant (but at that point it looked perfectly healthy), but this is what the plant looked like when i pulled it out of temporary bubble bucket to place in the big grow table.

this plant grows right next to the 2 spotted plants above, but got no spots??? it is just wilting and like all other plants in this grow has seemed to stop growth

This is a clone from the BLUEBERRY plant you can see further down this page, it is not having any problems like the ICE CREAM plants, but is growing a lot slower than its mother did under a 125w CFL

Just an overall pic of all 4 ICE CREAM plants and one BLUEBERRY clone

Picture of the roots from the ICE CREAM plants. there is nothing on the roots, the blurry looking stuff is water dripping down the roots.

More roots *all the ICE CREAM plant roots are very slightly brown and seem to be unusually thin

These are the roots of the BLUEBERRY clone. they are not growing as fast, but they are pure white and A LOT thicker than the ICE CREAM roots

Just an over all pic of the grow area. its a 4'x4' hydro hut

the reservoir. as you can see there is plenty of aeration. there's 2 36" flexible air diffusers in the bottom

Here is another shot of the plant with no spots above taken a few days later. the first set of leaves are yellowing, maybe a sign of nutrient deficiency?

another shot of the BLUEBERRY clone taken a few days later. the BLUEBERRY clone was fine, but now it decided to get some nasty spots like most of the other ICE CREAM plants :( WTF

  • Ph is kept between 5.5 and 5.8

  • Nice and crystally. and only 2 weeks into flowring!!!

    Just another sugar shot!!!

and another!!! I am really happy with the capabilities of this digi cam. it was the second cheapest one available at best buy and takes great macro shots

I try to chop off all growth below the screen to divert all plants energy to the buds above the screen in the light

    overall pic of the plant

Now I've seen it all, a bud starting to grow off of a fan leaf

overall pic of the grow cabinet
