My name is Kathy and I'm 34 yrs. old. I was born with Spina Bifida and confined to a wheelchair. I was able to walk some until about 14 years ago when I had a huge pressure sore on my hip and had to be put on bed rest for a year. Because of being on bed rest I lost a lot of the muscles I had left in my legs. I now can't stand on my own and in the wheelchair full time. They van I have now has to have me try to stand and get in the drivers seat. Because my legs are so weak it makes it hard to get from my chair into the drivers seat. With the Mobility SVM truck I would be able to stay in my chair and not have to get out of it to drive. The van I have now is about on it's last leg. I worry every time I have to go somewhere if we're going to make it back home or not. This truck would allow me to be more involved in my sons activities without having to worry about getting there and back. We have a mini horse farm and with this truck I would be able to help with hauling hay, feed and even the horses. Thank you for your support it means a lot to my son and I!
