The JROTC program received its charter from the U.s Congress in 1916. Frankford High School program was founded in 1978 and is the oldest Army JROTC in the city of Philadelphia.We the Pioneer Battalion of Frankford High School accomplish our mision through an ingenious mix of class room instructions; Hands-On Training and Practical Exercise.Upperclass Cadets best learn leadership, management and communication skills by directing calss activites commensurate to their level of experience and ability.
