~Thank You~

   When I first decided to go public with my paintings, I definitely didn't anticipate the outcome. So many of my friends and family have shown their support and that means the world to me. It's the confidence booster I needed to continue displaying my works and continue making new things to share with everyone. To each of you, a heartfelt "Thank you" just would not suffice, but at the moment, it's all I have... for now.

   As I produce more paintings and artworks, I plan on thanking you in more customized way. Perhaps with drawings for free paintings! Who knows? All I know is that, for the first time, I can honestly say that I am excited at the prospect of what can come from this! This gift from God has been a source of joy for me for so long and now I have this opportunity to share it with others!

 "The heavens are telling of the glory of God;

And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands."

                                                                                   ~Psalm 19:1

     The woods call to me. The country side knows my name. The mountains beckon and the rivers draw me near to their flow. I hear the birds sing the songs of far off places long lost to those who are trapped in the concrete jungle. The ocean waves roar at such a travesty! I am absolutely in love with the beauty of God's creation all around me. It's incredible how much there is to see and I want to see it all! Well... As much as I possibly can.

   We all love beautiful scenes and songs that evoke an emotional response or even bring to mind a long lost memory! Whether we care to admit it or not, in the safety and comfort behind closed doors, we love to simply feel.

   From time to time, a sad song that brings me back to my days in high school is just what I've been looking for. Some days I love a good adrenaline fueling song, riddled with heavy guitar riffs and rumbling bass licks. Others, I like the relaxing quality of Chillstep. Long list condensed: We love to feel.

   That's what art does for me. I love sketching, painting, writing music, playing music, writing poetry, etc. Now, these are just a few of the things that I enjoy. This brings me back to my original premise.

I absolutely love nature!

   I love hiking, backpacking, canoeing, swimming, camping, anything really. I just love being in nature. It's inspiring and it's where most of my inspiration comes from.

   I paint and sketch the landscapes that inspire me most. The melodies in the air around me permeate my heart and come out in the form of notes on a page and dance steps for my fingers on a floor of ivory and ebony. These things that words cannot express come out on canvas, pages of a sketch book, or songs that name the unknown. Those that can be written are put to paper as poetry or song.
