Computer Viruses, one of the most destructive things to ever occur in the history of computing. A computer virus is a malicious program that self-replicates by copying itself to another program. Viruses back in the day weren’t made to be malicious. The first viruses that were created bac kin the 1970s were made for different reasons, for example Animal (1975) was made to ask users 20 questions so the program could figure out what animal they were thinking. In the pass of time, more and more viruses have appeared, causing millions and millions of damages. Some of this are

A really big advantage from a computer virus, is that any new virus, shows a vulnerability in the system, which can be patched out in a update, making everything more secured in the future, and evading that new viruses using that exploit arrive.
Some disadvanteges are that a strong virus could damage your Operating System, losing all of the data you had on it. Another one is that a virus could be so strong, it could end up damaging your PC itself(an example of this would be the CIH Virus
