The aim of the Institute of Mexico is to know the traditions Mexican residents of Atlanta and its environs. We focus on adolescents to motivate youth Mexican descent to be proud of their heritage and culture of their ancestors. The Institute offers a wealth of Mexico multicultural residents of Atlanta.

On September 15 in Mexico is celebrated on the day of the "Grito de Dolores "or" Cry of Independence "which was first held Once in the city Dolores, Guanajuato by the priest Miguel Hidalgo, this event marks the beginning of the struggle for independence Mexico. During the celebration, the highest representative Mexican government, and as President of the Republic, Governor Mayor or abroad, the embassy or consulate, cheering the heroes of independence and waving the flag Mexico.

What We Do

Mexican Flag- Picture Since its establishment in May 2002, the Institute of Mexico has implemented programs and events to promote culture and Mexican history in the community. Atlanta, a city rich in diversity has been the culture of Mexico and all our events with open arms. Residents of Atlanta, interested in learning more about the culture, history and traditions Mexico, have supported us with their presence and assistance in our events. The Institute of Mexico, through all events you want to preserve the bonds of friendship between the States USA and Mexico.

Mexican Flag - Picture With guidance and assistance of the board, the Institute of Mexico has achieved its purpose to educate and involve the community at our events. This includes events such as: Day Mexico's independence, a variety of concerts, conferences, health fairs, exhibitions and various events education and sports.On this site you will find links to upcoming events as well as past events. We offer a chance for the site visitor to become a member and join our online community. You will receive our e-mail news letter so that you can stay on top of the entire goings on in your community. We also give you a chance to show you care by volunteering or donating. We can not do this without you.
