Mutations
Cody has the superhuman ability to release something he calls "Impact". The reason he named it this is strictly because of what it can do. Though it is non-lethal it is still quite the dangerous ability. When Cody strikes an object he sends out a concussive blast that seems to act like "super strength". It can send a person flying across a room and it can even put dents in titanium. Though it won't break unless pounded upon for a bit. This "Impact" energy can be used as well to deflect projectiles even stop on coming objects. Example: A car going 120kmph, he would have to purposley throw himself into the vechicle to stop it in it's tracks. Though he may suffer cuts and bruises from broken bits flying at him. The concussive force, when striking a person. Will not only inflict damage to the spot hit but the blast will also radiat inside the person and ripple through their entire body in minor waves of pain.
This "Impact" energy can also be used to shoot Cody into the air as if he were to be just jumping to extreme heights. This requires a moments worth of focus, knees to be bent and such. Upon landing he would emit his energy again to soften the landing. Though by doing this he tends to leave dents in the ground with a 2 foot radius with him in the center. This power cannot be used to physically increase his strength for lifting heavy objects. That would require his own humanly strengths. When he has an adrenaline rush mixed with extreme emotions of rage/anger he will begin to emit the Impact Energy around himself subconciously and with no control. This aura can appear as a light blue and white waves almost like heat waves emitting off heated objects.
History
Cody doesn't know alot about his past since the age of 4 nothing is really vivid to him beyond that. Though he knows he lived in an Orphanage in New Westminster. It was a very good place, the kids were easy to get along with - mostly - and the orphanage happened to have been lead by a very catholic group. Though Cody never believed in the Catholic ways he still did as they wished and never questioned because of fear of being kicked out. Cody grew up being the "class clown" so-to-say. He loves the sound of laughter, specially when the other kids were sad and scared he loved to cheer them up by being a complete and total goof ball.
It was about the age of 9 when Cody began to write everything down on the nearest sheet of paper. The head of the orphanage would buy Cody new notebooks everytime he filled one up because the man was very happy to see that Cody was using his time sparringly and being cautious. The writing started after a girl from class, Julia Dunsten, was hit by a car and suffered from Amnesia. She didn't know anything, her name where she was. She was crying because she wanted her parents but what she didn't know was that her parents were murdered. Cody felt sad and he started writing every day incase something like that happened to him in his life. By the age of 10 Julia had gotten back alot of her memory and she seemed to be getting closer and closer to Cody as the years went by.She loved his goofy attitude and how nice he was to everyone especially her, although she was annoyed at the fact he seemed to be always writing when something interesting came up in his life.
As Cody turned 13 he began to feel funny inside. Constantly getting sick and having massive headaches for an entire year. By the age of 14 he got in a fight with a new kid that had arrived name Billy West. This kid was a jerk and twice the size of Cody in weight and height. Two years older as well. One day the bully decided to pick on Julia. Cody got upset and they got in a fight. Julia was crying after being teased by Billy and Cody went straight at the boy. Tackling him into a nearby wall, the wall crunched from impact as Billy was struck with the "Impact" energy. Cody ended up breaking Billy's spine from the attack and Cody was kicked out of the orphanage for it. Julia cried the day Cody left and that was the last time he had ever seen or heard from her.
Cody lived on the streets for the rest of the time trying to understand just what was happening to his body. Eventually he began to learn all the things he could do with this "Impact" Energy. He began to call it "Impact" for what it could do and he began to refer to himself as the "Imapct Kidd"
