The iconic leather jackets

A must for all lovers leather jacket, perfect is a piece of bad boy. But since its inception in the late 1920s, designers have revisited to make it a timeless garment, in 1928, this model is, originally, the result of an order the Beck family, at the head of a concession of Harley-Davidson. The idea is to invent a sufficiently resistant jacket to protect riders in case of fall. Made its debut in horse leather, it is available now to infinity. For example, we find perfecto buffalo skin, which gives a manly look to the jacket, or cow skin, while the parts for the female are usually made with lamb skin.

Irving Schott had imagined with a zipper on the front, pressure to fold the collar, zippered cuffs designed to prevent air intakes and a belt attached to the back, which adjusts the size. The perfecto is the first jacket with a zipper. Its originality? Shifted to the right side, it allows to overlay two sections of leather at the bust, which even better protects the biker. Add four outside pockets, three of them located on the chest and the hips and the fourth is zippered and flap.

It's in the late 1940s that the brand Schott created the first models of mythical perfecto. The "613 One Star" particularly distinguished by the stars on each shoulder pad placed. Another feature, it bears no pressure on his collar. Uniform black biker jacket, popularized by actors like Marlon Brando and James Dean in the 1950s, the perfecto becomes the preserve of rock bands in the 1970s singer of the Sex Pistols, Sid Vicious, was fond of the "118" created by Schott in 1977. Then comes the era of punks in the 1980s they add nails, chains, badges or paint. Today, the famous jacket has been diverted from its appearance "rebel" by the creators. It is now a highly popular piece, worn by American biker’s police as by models of Yves Saint-Laurent during haute couture fashion shows.

The tricks to wear?

For women, we choose the velvet, colored or sleeveless for summer. It carries it over a light dress, short or long. However, winter is the season of studded or quilted details for a rock look that matches with our entire wardrobe.

In men, it is taken in a cowhide vintage look for the more adventurous. Otherwise, we choose in dark colored lamb and we grant it with skinny jeans and a slim fit shirt for dandies, or a simple t-shirt for rockers.
