Interview
Amitabh Bachan
Me: Sir, starting on a personal note, though you have been in the industry for over 60 years what is the biggest challenge that you overcame?
Amitabh Bachan: That takes me back to my early days. AS an actor I did have to go through a lot of challenges. Since childhood I wanted to be an actor. When I first went for my auditions, the director mocked me in public because of my height, and the booming voice. But god’s grace now inspite of being an actor, I’m also a dubbing artist.
Me: How do you define film?
Bachan: It’s nothing but passion
Me: Indian film industry is celebrating its 100 years. How do you feel being a part of it?
Bachan: I feel proud to be a part of this huge industry. It has involved the toil of many that now we are able to reap its harvest.
Me: Any suggestions for upcoming actors that you would like to share with us
Bachan: Our young actors are very talented, no doubt, but they have to mould it through hard work. Persistent hardwork work would be my suggestion. Nothing can substitute hardwork.
