How to Heat a Construction Site

Working as a construction manager can be very rewarding and challenging all at the same time. You will be faced with some difficult decisions regarding personnel, project deadlines, materials and other important aspects of the job. An important part of the job is making sure that your workers are safe, using the proper equipment, following OSHA rules and are protected from the elements as much as possible.

One way you can protect your workers from the elements is by heating your construction site. If you are building a home in the winter it can get pretty cold. By the time the structure is completely enclosed your workers will be inside working but the heating equipment has likely yet to be installed. The inside of an unheated building can be just as cold as working outside. That’s why you should look into heating and dehumidifier rental for your projects.

The most common rental heating devices are electric. This means that the property cannot be heated until the electric has been installed. If you have a generator on the site you might be able to use the generator to power the heating equipment you’ve rented to keep the property warm for your workers.

If you are heating a construction site you need to be as careful as possible when doing so. Make sure the equipment is far enough away from anything that is flammable. When you leave the site at the end of the day make sure the equipment is turned off, unplugged, and locked away, if possible. You don’t want to take any chances of the rented heating equipment causing an issue with your construction project.

The product you choose to rent will be delivered to your construction site. It can be installed and activated by the delivery person. One of the biggest benefits of heating and dehumidifier rental equipment is that you can move the equipment to any area of your site if it comes with wheels attached.
