Healthy diet is an issue ...
Mood:  cool

The traditional diets of people in the Mediterranean area - high in olive oil, fish, vegetables, fruits, and relatively low in meat/raw meat ) have been linked to a lower risk of heart disease.

Prostate cancer levels are also comparatively low in this area. Healthy  food is beneficial for people with rheumatoid arthritis.

I've just read that a woman from Phoenix is celebrating her 106th birthday. Yolanda Licasati was born in 1901 credits eating fresh fruit and avoiding junk-food.

Motto: eating keeps us alive; healthy-eating helps us grow old. ;)

The healthiest way to "olive"
Mood:  bright

Olive oil is a natural juice which preserves the taste, aroma, vitamins and properties of the olive fruit. Olive oil is the only vegetable oil that can be consumed as it is - freshly pressed from the fruit.

The beneficial health effects of olive oil are due to both its high content of monounsaturated fatty acids and its high content of antioxidative substances. Studies have shown that olive oil offers protection against heart diseases by controlling ”bad" cholesterol levels (LDL) while raising “good” cholesterol levels(HDL).

No other naturally produced oil has as large an amount of monounsaturated as olive oil's own oleic acid.

Have a great meal, guys!  ;)

Keep a breath of fresh air, indoors !
Mood:  energetic

A recent study of 11,154 office workers in Finland found that the most common work-related symptoms were an irritated, stuffy or runny nose, itching, burning eyes and fatigue. The study, published the January issue of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, also found that women were more likely to report symptoms than men, and that people with allergies and smokers had more symptoms than people without allergies and non-smokers.

Inadequate ventilation is one of the most common causes of indoor air quality problems, and one that has been more of a problem in new and newly renovated buildings.

Therefore, my advice: keep the conditioning-systems off, and from time to time, try to go and get a breathe of fresh air, during luch-break or even before coming to work! it really helps .

Yours faithfully,

Julie :)
